Arunachal Pradesh Industry
Industry in Arunachal Pradesh is small. Hydropower projects on the Siang, Subansiri, Kameng and Lohit rivers are the biggest investments, along with tea gardens, food processing, handloom weaving and cane and bamboo crafts.
The state's industrial estates are managed by its Department of Industries, and its policies offer incentives for food processing, tourism and hydropower.

Specialties of Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal oranges
Mandarin oranges grow on the hill slopes of eastern Arunachal Pradesh, in districts such as Lohit, Namsai, Lower Dibang Valley and the Siang valleys, mostly in small orchards with few chemicals.
Large cardamom
Large (black) cardamom, a spice grown in the shade of forest trees in the eastern Himalaya, is a cash crop of many hill farmers in Arunachal Pradesh. The dried pods, smoky in flavour, go into garam masala and are sold through the Spices Board's auctions and traders in Siliguri and Guwahati.
Help for entrepreneurs and local industries
Every district has a District Industries Centre (DIC), run by the state's industries department. It is the first place to go to register a unit, to apply for the state's incentives and subsidies, and for help with central schemes such as PMEGP.
