Gujarat budget and economy
Gujarat is one of India's most industrialised states. Its long coastline has many ports, and it is a leading producer of cotton and groundnut. Its dairy co-operatives, led by Amul of Anand, are known across the country.
Services, trade and finance are growing, including at GIFT City near Gandhinagar, India's international financial services centre.
