Gujarat Adventures
Gujarat offers adventure on its hills, its long coastline and the white salt desert of Kutch.
Paragliding and hill sports
Saputara, Gujarat's only hill station, in the Dang district, has paragliding, a ropeway and boating, and a Monsoon Festival with outdoor events.
Trekking
Climbing the stone steps up Mount Girnar near Junagadh, past temples on the way, is a famous pilgrimage trek; a ropeway now also runs up the hill. Polo Forest in Sabarkantha has walking and cycling trails among old temples.
Beaches and the sea
Shivrajpur beach near Dwarka has a Blue Flag for clean water and offers snorkelling and water sports. Kayaking and boating are also offered at Dwarka and Mandvi.
The Rann of Kutch
During the Rann Utsav every winter, a tent city at Dhordo opens on the edge of the white salt desert, with camel rides, all-terrain vehicles and moonlit walks on the salt.
