Jammu and Kashmir budget and economy
Farming and horticulture support most families in Jammu and Kashmir: Kashmir grows most of India's apples, along with walnuts, almonds and saffron (from Pampore), while the Jammu region grows rice and wheat. Tourism and handicrafts are important sources of income.
