Haryana Industry
Haryana makes a large share of India's cars and two-wheelers, with Maruti Suzuki's plants at Gurugram and Manesar and Hero MotoCorp's at Dharuhera and Gurugram. Faridabad is an engineering centre, Panipat is known for textiles and recycled-yarn weaving, and Yamunanagar for plywood.
The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation develops the state's industrial towns.

Specialties of Haryana
Panipat handloom and textiles
Panipat, the "city of weavers", makes blankets, carpets, durries, bedsheets, curtains and other home furnishings, much of it for export. It is also one of the world's biggest centres for recycling old woollen and cotton clothes into new yarn and blankets.
Murrah buffalo dairy
The Murrah buffalo, with its tightly curled horns, comes from Haryana and is one of the world's best dairy buffalo breeds, giving rich milk with a high fat content. Haryana's farmers keep Murrah buffaloes for milk, ghee and breeding, and the ICAR Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes is at Hisar.
