Uttarakhand

Called as a land of Gods, Uttarakhand is a state of natural beauty blessed with magnificent glaciers, majestic snow-clad mountains, gigantic and ecstatic peaks, valley of flowers, skiing slopes and dense forests. It is carved out of the state of Uttar Pradesh and it chiefly consists of two hilly divisions, Kumaon and Garhwal.  International borders touched by the border of the state are Tibet and Nepal.  Neighbor states are Himachal Pradesh and Utter Pradesh.  It spans an area of 53,566 km�  and population over  8,479,562   The state capital is Dehra Dun.
