Alibag or Alibaug- a small coastal town in Raigadh district of Maharashtra. Situated in 35 kms away from the hustles bustles of Mumbai, Alibag is a welcome relief to the people looking for calm and quiet vacation. Beaches are the main attraction of Alibag.

The most popular of these beaches are:

Alibag beach: Alibag beach is the most visited tourist destination of the town. The famous Kolaba fort can be seen from this beach.

Varsoli Beach: Situated a mile away from Alibag beach, there is a huge base of Indian Navy on this beach.

Nagaon beach: There can be rarely any tourist who has not visited this beach known for betel nuts and coconuts. It is only 7 kms away from Alibag town.

Akshi Beach: It is situated 5 km away from Alibag. This is a quiet and serene beach, so very popular for picnic.

Kihim Beach: Kihim is an isolated beach situated at twelve kilometres distance from Alibag.  This beach is covered with densely placed coconut trees. This beach is a home to rare flora and fauna.

Rewas Beach: Situated 24 km away from Alibag, Rewas is another popular destination for tourists looking for beaches.

Other than the beaches, there are other places as well which the tourists can find interesting. Some of them are:

Chaul- Fifteen kilometres away from Alibag, Chaul is a place of immense religious as well as historic importance. This place has the relics of Portuguese empire, caves of Buddhists, church, temple and even a Hamam Khana. Since Alibag has quite a large Jew population, there is a synagogue as well.

Kolaba fort- This fort is at most 2 kms from Alibag beach, where you can even walk to during the time of low tide.

Apart from these, there are many temples and churches like Vikram Vinayak temple, Dutta Mandir, Tower of St Barbara.
